ARK NETWORK is a refugee-led and community-based organisation specialized in promoting the extremely vulnerable individuals in the refugee community. The organisation was founded in January 2023 by advocate and refugee rights activists mainly refugees of Rwamwanja Refugee settlement (Kamwenge district, Uganda) where they were settled. Its main mission is to promote the rights of minority, transparency and accountability and accompany the most vulnerable individuals into their socio-economic rehabilitation. The organization does researches or investigation on cases related to livelihoods of vulnerable communities, corruption within the refugee setting and misconduct of humanitarian communities regarding their primary stakeholders, and strives to make them accountable through publication, mass campaigns and linkages. For its 1 year of existence, ARK NETWORK managed to co-author important research on the Root-causes of Refugees' Difficult Livelihoods in Rwamwanja and Kyaka II Refugee Settlements, and supported groups at risk such as sexual minorities, orphaned children, youth parents with legal assistance, socio-economic rehabilitation and group mentorship.
